We are Indigenizing our coaching and ways of working and learning by exploring what Indigenous knowledge is, their worldviews, the nature of it, and how it can enhance our organization and coaching.
The Truth and Reconciliation Commission Calls to Action identified how the corporate sector in Canada can support the commissions’ calls to action. We recognize Indigenous worldviews are critical to the ongoing health of our planet. We want to support these views in our coaching programs and within our core operational activities. We recognize that modern and Western and based science and psychology are not the only options to draw from.
We incorporate the four Rs into our coaching programs by recognizing that learning can’t take place when culture is absent.
We respect Indigenous cultural integrity. Our coaching is relevant to your perspectives and experience because you are the expert of you and we depend on your thoughts and ideas to guide the learning. Our relationships are reciprocal with a recognition that we are both the student and the teacher. We are responsible for our participation and don’t take out role lightly.
The Land and Coaching
Our coaching programs are customized so any components that can include the land are developed using areas relevant to you . We won’t incorporate aspects of the land that do not apply to you or your community.
We are never alone
We can’t exist alone. We need ourselves to be whole and we need our family, the community, the land, spirituality, and the knowledge and experiences from our ancestors. Our coaching programs acknowledge the need for a sense of place.
